Quick start seals derby win for Celtic
An early brace from Sean Brown (pic/file) set Clonmel Celtic on their way to a comfortable 4-0 win against Clonmel Town yesterday. The game was only 1 minute old when Sean Brown fired low to the corner to give Celtic the lead. Celtic doubled their lead on 15 minutes when Sean Brown hit a fine half volley to the net. When Darren Sweeney headed home on 28 minutes it looked a case of damage limitation for the visitors as Celtic went to the break 3 to the good. Early in the second half Philip Drohan saw his effort scrambled off the line but the respite was brief for Town as Cian O’Sullivan scored from close range to make it 4-0. Town battled away but Celtic didn’t have to be at their best as they ran out comfortable winners.
