Clonmel Celtic bowed out of the Munster Junior Cup after going down 2-1 to St Michaels at the Quarter Final stage yesterday afternoon. After going down 5-0 here in the league earier this season this was a much improved performance from Celtic and they were a little unlucky not to bring the game to extra time. The home side probably had the better of the first half though they had to wait until the 41st minute to edge in front with a fine strike from Rhys O'Regan. In fairness to Celtic they really had a go in the second half and were rewarded when Cian O'Sullivan headed an equaliser in the 76th minute. O'Sullivan came close again 5 minutes later as Celtic sensed a victory. However they were dealt a cruel blow 6 minutes into injury time when David Slattery fired home the winner.
