B team lose top of the table clash!
Ballingarry Albion took the points in a keenly contested top of the table clash at Celtic Park yesterday. Celtic started the brighter and had the better of the opening half and had some good chances. They missed one great opportunity just before the break as the first half finished scoreless. The visitors started the second half well and got on top for awhile. Unlike Celtic in the first half they took advantage of the period when they were in the ascendancy with Jack Pollard powerfully heading home Michael Ivors’s corner on 64 minutes. They nearly added a second moments afterwards. Celtic steadied themselves and finished strongly but could breakdown a strong Ballingarry rearguard as they held on for a crucial win.
