Clonmel Celtic welcomed Cahir Park and following last weeks exit from the FAI Youth Cup both teams were looking to bounce back in the League Competition. In the early exchanges both teams showed intent to compete hard for this game but after the first 15 mins it was Celtic who settled better and started creating chances. With Cahir pinned back Celtic created multiple chances but failed to capitalize on them and but for a fantastic save from Celtic keeper Peter Boland might have found themselves behind at the break. The second was a different affair, Celtic came out with intent and found the finishing that had eluded them in the first half and within 4 Minutes of the restart Celtic took the lead after some indecision in the Cahir box allowed Dominic Mendel to slot home for Celtic. Over the next 10 minutes Celtic took control and added a 3 goals in 10 minutes when a good move saw Max Ryan broke down the right and crossed for Luke Hannigan to finish, Jack Aylward added a 3rd after a long range effort which found its way to the net and almost immediately after the restart Rhys Lonergan scored from close range to make it 4- 0 after 60 minutes. Cahir went on to score after 75 minutes through a good move down the left and Keelan Darcy finished well for the visitors as Celtic ran out 4-1 winners.
Also on Saturday no luck for the U15s in the SFAI Cup as they went down 4-2 to Wexford outfit Gorey Rangers. Goals from Jack Boland and Jayden Lynch has Celtic 2-0 up at one stage in this game before the home side fought their way back,
