Clonmel Celtic B made it five wins from five after a tough encounter in Donohill that saw Celtic win 7-2. Celtic got off to a flying start with Ben Nugent (pic/file) finding the net after just 4 minutes from a Jason Barnes cross. Celtic doubled their lead shortly afterwards when Dean McLaughlin found the net. In a tough physical encouter Celtic were 3-0 up fter 26 minutes with a great strike from Dean McLaughlin. Celtic never got out of gear but still showed their class when on the ball and immense work rate off it! Donohill responded in the 31st minute after receiving a corner that was headed in from close range. Celtic restored their 2 goal lead in the 33min with Ben Nugent getting his second.The second half saw Donohill push high up the pitch to try disrupt Celtic and for large parts Celtic absorbed the pressure and were able to counter attack through their midfield and wings. Jack Alyward comfortably slotted away a penalty after he was fouled in the box to make it 5-1. Donohill kept plugging away and got a second in the 57min after a loose pass in defence was capitalised on. Celtic continued to press and scored again in the 78min when Jason Barnes slotted home to give Celtic a 6-2 lead. Davey Garrett added the 7th on the 85min to finish off what was a hard tough battle physically but guaranteed 3 points on the road for Celtic.
