Semi Final defeat for Celtic
For the second successive season Clonmel Celtic fell at the semi final stage of the Tipperary Cup when they went down 2-0 to St Michaels yesterday afternoon. After a decent first half of the season Celtic’s form since the turn of the year hasn’t been great but despite this they have a good account of themselves in the first half that finished scoreless. However not surprisingly Celtic couldn’t maintain their challenge in the second half and Ed O’Dwyer put the visitors ahead on the hour mark. St Michaels sealed victory and a cup final place when David Slattery scored late on to see then run out 2-0 winners.
