Having finished league runners up for the second successive season Clonmel Celtic were hoping to finish the season on a high when they took the field against Cahir Park in the U13 Premier Cup final last night. Both league encounters between the sides ended in draws this season so I suppose we shouldn't have been too surprised when the game ended scoreless. Unfortunately as this was a cup final we had to have a winner on the night and so the game went to penalties with Cahir coming out on top 4-3. Although no doubt disappointed when they have had time to look back on the season I'm sure the management team will do so with great pride seeing how this team has progressed in recent years. They sufferred disppointment together but I have no doubt they will be celebrating together soon.
