Clonmel Celtic U13s were just 30 minutes away from claiming the U13 Premier title until Slievenamon Celtic's second half recovery dashed their dreams. On two occasions in the first half Celtic had a two goal lead. Goals from Kuba Jaworski and Kyle Cuddihy had Celtic 2-0 up at the midway point of the first half. Enda Nolan scored from a tight angle to half the deficit for the visitors but a fine effort from Kyle Ryan restored Celtic's two goal advantage as Celtic lead 3-1 at the break. Unfortunately for Celtic Slievenamon stormed back in the second half as Celtic struggled and an Adam Blanchfield hat trick put the visitors ahead. Celtic tried to muster a response but were unable to do as the visitors held firm to fatally damage Celtic's title hopes.
It was better news on Friday night for Clonmel Celtic U15s as they reached the Tipperary U15 Championship Cup final with a comprehesive 8-1 away to Moyglass Utd. Jack Aylward kept up his recent good goalscoring form as he hit a hat trick and there were also goals for Alex Richter, Jamie Brunnock, Jack Boland, Mikey Maguire and Jack Kealy.
