Clonmel Celtic and Peake Villa U12s remain unbeaten after an entertaining 3-3 draw at Celtic Park last night. After a nervous start the home side settled into the game but unfortunately found themselves 2-0 down against the run of play after twenty minutes. During this time Celtic missed a penalty and the Villa keeper denied them with some fine saves. Celtic did manage to pull a crucial goal back before the break with a neat finish from Adam Frejek. Celtic started the second half on the offensive and were deserveldy level on 54 minutes. The lively Josef Podzimek showed some nimble footwork in the box before executing the perfect finish by curling the ball just inside the post to make it 2-2. Celtic were on the front foot know and went ahead with an equally good finish from Conor Murphy who got into a good position before applying a finish across the keeper into the bottom corner. Celtic were flying at this stage but the wind was knocked from their sails when they lost the ball in midfield and Villa broke to score to make it 3-3. Both sides had chances to win it late on but a winner would have been cruel as both sides deserved to take something from this game from their brave efforts.
