B team continue good run
Clonmel Celtic Reserves had an impressive 2-1 win away to Division 1 leaders St Michaels B to advance to the second round of the Paddy Purtill Cup. The first half in Tipperary was a dour struggle that ended scoreless. Damon Gregory (pic/file) headed Celtic in front from a David Grace cross on 52 minutes but the home side were level within three minutes following a goal mouth scramble. Neither side could force a winner and the game went to extra time. With just 8 minutes remaining Shane Mullen got on the end of a Simon O'Donnell centre to score the winner for Celtic B.
