A debut junior goal for 15 year old Jake Forristal and another from veteran David Joyce wasn't enough as Celtic fell to a last minute extra time goal, losing 3-2 to Wilderness Rovers. For match details visit Reports Section.
Meanwhile a double from Jamie Carey ensured there was no surpise on the cards as Glengoole advanced to the second round of the Munster Junior Cup at the expense of Clonmel Celtic B. Celtic battled gamely throughout but just didn't create enough and a Jamie Carey effort five minutes before the break had the visitors 1-0 up at half time. It was much the same in the second period with Celtic B probably sharing possession but Glengoole made much better use of the ball and created the clearer chances. They doubled their lead on 55 minutes when Jamie Carey fired low to the corner effectively making the game safe. Celtic B battled gamely for the remainder of the game and came close to a late consolation but Glengoole were good value for the win. Celtic have been using a lot of young players this season and it was nice to see 15 year old Adam Zorgatti (pictured) making his junior debut as a second half substitute.
