Clonmel Celtic Under 12s marked their competitive debut in the TSSDL with a 2-1 win away to Peake Villa yesterday. It didn't look good for Celtic early on when they were caught sleeping at a corner and the home side were in front. However it was just the wake up call they needed as they fought their way back into the game but were unable to force an equaliser before the break. In stark contrast to the first period Celtic started the second half very well and got on top and were soon rewarded with a stunning equaliser. Celtic won a corner after good work from Kyle Ryan down the right. Kyle delivered a fine corner and arriving at the back post to power a header to the net was Sean Kiely. Celtic continued to dominate and pressed for a winner. Midway through the half they hit the front. A quick break saw some great footwork from Ali on the edge of the box and he played in Kuba Jaworski who went past the last defender and slotted the ball into the bottom corner to put Celtic ahead. Celtic controlled the rest of the game and can be well satisfied with an impressive win in their season opener.
