The Tipperary Schoolboys Southern and District League (TSSDL) has announced that it is cancelling the current domestic Schoolboy season. The decision doesn't really come as much of a surprize given that the current lockdown isn't due to finish until December 1st which is after the date the Schoolboy season was due to finish giving the local league no time and no option really but to cancel the season. The TSS&DL Academy will continue training to the end of November with current squads and invite clubs to send players to train with squads until they are allowed to hold trials. Clubs can continue to train in accordance with current protocols i.e. pods of 15 and no contact. It is the intention of the league to commence the 2021 season in February circumstances permitting. It's disappointing news especially for three of the Celtic Schoolboy teams currently top or joint top of their respective divisions but it is the correct decision nonetheless.
