The FAI updated their 'Safer Return to Soccer' protocol on Friday and you can access it by following link below. It contains important information especially for coaches, players and substitutes.
I'm looking forward to the protocol that will just contain three words 'Safe to Return' but unfortunately I think that may be a while off yet.
On the subject of Covid I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all those who have taken on extra duties trying to ensure the club is a safe environment for your children. I'm thinking particularly of Tony Acheson, Mary Roche Cleary, Mags O'Malley and Sinead Greene. Apologies if I omitted anyone, it's just that I have witnessed the work of these people. It can be challenging to be a volunteer at times and in the current situation it is that bit harder. At the U15 game on Friday night I saw Sinead with a notebook in her hand. I'm assuming she was on Covid duty or maybe she was giving husband Martin some advice on tactics/formations!!.
