Clonmel Celtic B are ending their season on a high after two impressive results in the last few days. Last night they completed their league campaign with an excellent 5-0 win away to Burncourt Celtic (see reports section for match details). Celtic lead 1-0 at the break courtesy of a Barry Kiely strike and added 4 more in the second half including a stunning strike from Kyle Kennedy (pictured/file). Also on the scoresheet for Celtic last night were Eoin Kearney, Shane Butler and Dean McLaughlin. The result leaves Celtic in second place but may still not be enough for promotion as St Nicholas who are 6 points adrift in 3rd still have 3 games to play. We were expecting last night to be Celtic's last game of the season but that's not the case after last Saturday's stunning 2-1 away to Premier League bound Cashel Town in the Tipperary Cup quarter final. Despite being two divisions ahead of Celtic B and unbeaten in League 1, Cashel gave themselves an awful lot to do when they had two players red carded. Celtic took full advantage and goals from Mikey Nugent and Tucker Kennedy saw Celtic set up a very interesting Tipperary Cup semi final against Cahir Park.
