Well done to Clonmel Celtic Under 14s who completed the league and cup double after beating Bansha Celtic 3-1 in the Tipperary Cup Final yesterday. Celtic were slow out of the traps and the game wwas 1-1 at the break. A big improvement in the second half saw Celtic get on top and the ran out 3-1 winners. Adam Zorgatti scored twice for Celtic with Alex Greene also on the score sheet. Julian Kerton was awarded man of the match.
It's been a marvellous couple of years for this squad of players and great credit must go to coaches Martin Greene and Eddie Doyle. After achieving the U13 Championship double last year to step up a level and repeat the feat again at U14 Premier standard is a fantastic achievement. Indeed according to my records you have to go back to October 2017 to find this team's last defeat in local competition. That's amazing run of 25 games undefeated. Take a bow boys!!
