It may have been an improvement on recent performance but Celtic still ended up empty handed after going down 3-2 to Glengoole Utd yesterday. Celtic started well and Paul Kennedy put them ahead after 20 minutes. However the visitors responded and hit back to lead 3-1 at the break. Celtic had a go in the second half and Paul Kennedy gave them hope with this second of the match on 55 minutes but they couldn't find an equaliser and the visitors left with the points.
The Reserves went down to their first defeat of the season last weekend and were looking to bounce back with a tough game away to Killenaule yesterday. Celtic were well on top in the first half and but for the heroics of the Killenaule keeper including an excellent penalty save Celtic could have had a healthy lead at the break. The home side came more into the game in the second half and hit the front on 70 minutes with a neat finish. Celtic rallied and with 10 minutes on the clock Shane Butler popped up with an equaliser and the points were shared.
