In sharp contrast to the A team Clonmel Celtic Reserves have enjoyed an excellent start to the season. Unfortunately they suffered their first defeat of the season yesterday going down 2-1 to a good Mullinahone side. This was a very entertaining game. Celtic had the better of the first half hitting the post and crossbar and having a goal ruled out for offside but 0-0 at HT. Celtic came flying out of the blocks and got the breakthrough they deserved on 51 mins when Shane Butler was brilliantly put through on goal by Kevin Murray and he made no mistake to make it 1-0. Mullinahone kept battling away though and got the equalizer on the 67 minutes after a well worked goal finished by Ashley Laslett. Both sides had chances after this and it wasn’t until the 91st min that Ashley Laslett scored the winner direct from a free kick.
