Peake Villa strolled to a comfortable 5-0 win away to Clonmel Celtic this afternoon. Villa made the perfect start hitting the front on 3 minutes when John Coleman headed home unchallenged from close range. From the early stages it looked a damage limitation exercise for Celtic as they played very deep and posed no threat when they did manage to get into their opponents half. But for some poor finishing Villa would have been out of sight by the break but had to wait until the 40th minute when Ronan Maguire finished a centre to the net. Villa continued to dominate in the second half and a neat finish from John Coleman from another set piece saw Villa 3-0 up. Ciaran Ryan had Celtic's first attempt on goal on 65 minutes but the Villa keeper saved comfortably. Celtic came under increasing pressure late on as Villa turned the screw and two goals in the last 10 minutes from Ronan Maguire and John Coleman saw Villa run out very comfortable winners. In truth but for the woodwork and some fine goalkeeping by Aiden Lonergan it could have been even worse for Celtic.
