Another disappointing result for Clonmel Celtic as they crashed to a 3-1 defeat to Vee Rovers in Clogheen last Sunday morning. Similar to last weekend Celtic actually started well and Jack Purcell fired the visitors ahead. However the home side fought back and were level at the break. They added two more in the second half to run out 3-1 winners that sees Celtic's winless run continue.
In contrast the Reserves fine start continues. A mixtures of nerves and a poor playing service saw a relatively quiet opening before Shane Mullen opening the scoring for Celtic on 28 minutes when he was set up by Damon Gregory. Kilsheelan equalised before the break. Celtic made the prefect start to the second half when Kyle Kennedy played in Dean McLaughlin and he made no mistake. Celtic had their tails up and two more from McLaughlin (60mins) and Damon Gregory (80mins) saw Celtic seal the win and passage into the Shield Final. Man of the match today was Shane Mullen who had a big game in midfield for Celtic.
