Clonmel Celtic Under 13s missed an opportunity to seal runners up spot in the Under 13 Premier League when they went down to a disapointing 2-1 defeat to bottom of the table Mullinahone who were good value for the win. There were too many sub par performances by Celtic and if they really want to challenge for honours they will need to become more consistent. A rather fortunate goal had the home side one up at the break and when they scored a second it looked bleak for Celtic. Senan O'Shea lit up the afternoon with a fine strike to half the deficit but it proved just a consolation in the end. Celtic have a chance to redeem themselves when they play Mullinahone at home in a couple of weeks with 2nd spot still up for grabs. Anything less than a victory will be a disappointing end to their league campaign in 2019.
