Clonmel Celtic U12s are quicky learning how cruel sport can be sometimes and you don't always get what you deserved. Last night they fell to a successive 1-0 defeat after once again having more possession and creating more chances during an entertaining game. Celtic had the better of the first half without really testing the Moyglass keeper. Despite this Moyglass had probably the best opportunity when they created an opening in the Celtic box but just fired inches wide. It was more of the same in the second half but Celtic were now creating the chances and looked as if they were edging closer and closer to an opener. Twice within 5 minutes Mikey Maguire came close. First he had a header that was deflected over and then when he finally found some space in the box he fired narrowly wide. Preston Vickers was inches away from converting a Jack Kealy cross and a Moyglass defender then turned a shot against his own post. And with 8 minutes left on the clock the visitors broke and with Celtic lacking numbers in defence the ball was centred to a Moyglass player who fired home to the dismay of the Celtic players. Celtic rallied for the final few minutes but couldn't break down a resolute Moyglass defence who in fairness were excellent throughout.
