A goal late in the second half settled an entertaining U13 Clonmel derby in Town's favour yesterday morning. Celtic will no doubt be disappointed as a good performance deserved at least a draw. They had a goal disallowed in the first half after the keeper pushed an effort onto the crossbar and Mikey Maguire was adjudged to have fouled the keeper when he stabbed home the rebound. Celtic got on top in the second half and it looked as if the game had turned in their favour when a Town defender was red carded for saving with his hand on the goal line. Unfortunately Celtic couldn't take advantage from the spot when Jack Lawlor's effort was pushed around the post by the Town keeper. Celtic kept probing for the breakthrough but were rocked when Town scored with 10 minutes on the clock. Celtic looked a bit deflated and although they can be pleased with a good performance they lacked than bit of inventiveness and composure in the final third.
