Another clean sheet and two cracking finishes by Seanie O'Hara and Paul Kennedy saw Celtic continue their climb up the table with a 2-0 win away to Cahir this morning. Celtic have been starting games well in recent weeks and that trend continued this morning though the first 20 minutes of this encounter was a cagey affair. Cian O'Sullivan came close for Celtic with an effort that hit the crossbar and then Paul Kennedy was denied by a fine save from the Cahir keeper. The woodwork again denied Cian O'Sullivan in the 27th before Celtic got the breakthrough on 31 minutes. On a counter Seanie O'Hara picked up the ball in the box before turning his marker and firing a fine left footed effort across the keeper and into the corner of the net. Celtic doubled their lead 5 minutes later when Paul Kennedy got on the end of a Kyle Ryan centre to brilliantly volley home. Celtic continued to threaten in the second period with Seanie O'Hara just over with a lob and Kyle Ryan also came close with a header that was just off target. Cahir tried to mount a comeback but Celtic were comfortable enough and will be particularly pleased with another clean sheet though they have keeper Ben Cooney to thank for that after a brilliant one handed save late on. A very nasty head injury to Seanie O'Hara in the second half soured the day a little and we wish Seanie a speedy recovery.
