The Clonmel Celtic supporters who travelled to Clogheen today had to settle for a point when the home side equalised in the 3rd minute of injury time. Celtic took an early lead with a clever finish from Jack Purcell (pic/file). In truth Celtic should have had the game wrapped up within the first twenty minutes but failed to convert four clear chances after a very strong start. It looked as if Celtic would have their work cut out as they faced an uphill battle in the second half with a 1-0 lead. However Celtic comfortably contained Vee Rovers in the second half as the home side offered very little as an attacking force. However in the third minute of injury time a free kick into the Celtic box broke the visitor's resistance and they had to settle for a point in an entertaining encounter.
