Clonmel Celtic’s recent decent run came to an end today and with it their interest in this season’s FAI Junior Cup as they went down by the odd goal in five to BT Harps in Templemore this afternoon. Celtic fought back from 2-0 down to level the game with 10 minutes remaining but Harps scored with 6 minutes left to progress. Kyle Ryan and Johnny Cagney were Celtic's scorers. It's the first time in a number of years that Celtic have failed to reach the 5th round and they will be disappointed with that. However I think it is fair to say that they were a little unlucky today and some big moments in the game went against them. They lost keeper Ben Cooney to injury in the first half and missed a penalty on 65 minutes to level the game when they were on top. Having said that they performed well below par in the first half and didn't take their chances when on top in the second period. Well done to BT Harps and we wish them the best in the next round.
