Some very sporting and gracious words in St Patrick's Boys match report of their defeat to our Under 13s last Saturday. A lesson for all clubs perhaps? We wish St Patricks Boys the very best of luck for the rest of the season.
''Good win for great Clonmel Celtic team

St Patrick's Boys AFC Red 1 - 6 Clonmel Celtic
Great weather at The Meadows. The sun was shining and the ground good under foot. The game started at a good pace with Clonmel playing all of the football. Pats could not get out of their half. Clonmel sent wave after wave of attacks against a Pats team who had no answer to this Clonmel team. Pats held out for about 15 minutes before Clonmel broke through and scored. Two more goals quickly followed. The first half ended 3-0. The second half didnt start any better for Pats with Clonmel adding a further two goals. At 5-0 down Pats finally got into the game and for about a ten minute period held Clonmel in their own half before they finally broke through a determined Clonmel defence and Jamie Duggan scored for Pats. There was still about two minutes left before Clonmel struck for the last time and scored a sixth.
Scores for Clonmel -
Jack Norris 2, Dominik Mendel 2, Jack Lawlor and Michael O'Reilly 1 each.
Man of the Match - Cillian O'Brien.
To all clubs remaining in the competition and in the Tipperary League beware of this team. They play fair, are strong and very skilful.
Best of luck from all at Saint Patrick's Boys AFC''
