The club was very saddened to hear of the sudden death of Dick McSharry early on Saturday morning. Dick was a former goalkeeper and committee member of our club in our formative years when we were known as Elm Park Rangers. On a personal level I played on the same side as Dick and he made me very welcome when I first joined the club. I really enjoyed meeting him and he really was a lovely man who will be missed by his wife Celia and sons Ian and Neil and his many many friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour on Monday from 5.00pm to 7.30pm. Due to adverse weather conditions removal will now take place tomorrow morning to St Mary's Church, Irishtown. Funeral Mass on arrival at 12 noon followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery.
