Clonmel Celtic Ladies bounced back from a recent dip in form with two impressive wins in the last week. Last night Dualla came to Clonmel knowing a win would see them crowned champions. However Celtic produced a great performance and goals from Niamh Mackey and Cailin Napier saw Celtic win 2-1 that sets up a winner take all league decider between Dualla and Killenaule. This win for Celtic follows last Sunday's 7-2 cup win away to Borris where there were hat tricks for Sarah Ryan and Niamh Mackey and also a goal from Cailin Napier. Hopefully the Ladies will have a little bit of better luck in the Cup than they had in the Shield. After two excellent victories got them to the Shield final Celtic had to forfeit the game when they couldn't field a team. With plenty of time left in the season it's a pity that the League couldn't find a date to suit both teams. Finals should never be decided in this manner and it does nothing for the Ladies game in the County to see Finals decided like this.
